Awardee Expectations

If you were awarded a grant for 2023, you are expected to provide a Pictorial Summary. Continuing funded projects are required to complete an abstract and a Poster Presentation at the annual conference. projects are required to complete a progress report in March following the conference. The NCSFR administration will send a link for all awardees to complete this closer to the due date.

First Time Awardees

You are expected to complete a
pictorial summary ONLY.

Continuing Funded Projects

You are expected to complete a poster presentation and provide an abstract PRIOR to the annual conference.

Pictorial Summary : Overview and Outline

A pictorial summary is a poster consisting of visuals like photos to illustrate your findings and the overall progression of your research project. Your pictorial summary should include a brief description of your major research goals (results are not necessary). This poster is ideally 24″ w x 36″ h, and consists of the following information: Labelled pictures of all collaborators in the project, A brief description of the major research goals (results are not necessary), and Labelled project associated pictures. The posters are usually printed on heavy card stock or foam board.

Poster Presentation: Overview and Outline

This is a  formal poster  presentation including your NCSFR research progress and early findings. This poster is ideally 24″ w x 36″ h, and consists of the following information: 

  • A brief overview of project and research goals including results to date,
  • List of collaborators and contact information, and
  • Labelled project associated pictures/ tables/ graphs.

The posters are usually printed on heavy card stock or foam board. Please prepare a PDF or PowerPoint version of your poster prior to the conference for our virtual attendees.

Instructions to Complete Abstract

Complete the Progress Report applicable to you within the InfoReady portal you had submitted your original request for funding. 

Once logged in, under the  progress report section, complete the “Impact Statement Form.
Please fill out the form by inserting text directly onto the document provided in the
portal and upload it prior to your submission.
