Find out how we provide funding for research projects through our annual formal application process called Request for Applications (RFA). This process ensures that funding is granted to eligible candidates across the Pacific Northwest.

This program provides funding to address the needs and advancement of agriculture across the Pacific Northwest. Eligible applicants can apply for funding every year or for up to three years. The maximum funding you can receive each year is $70,000, and some multi-year projects may receive funding for more than one year. The funds are typically released in the first year of the project.

Funding Eligibility

Accepting berry (including other specialty berries) and grape research projects addressing Pacific Northwest needs.

Funding Duration

Proposals can be multi-year projects (up to three years in duration) but funding is ONLY available on a year-by-year basis.

Funding Deadline

Our funding cycle runs from November - January of every year. Dates are announced closer to the opening of our funding portal.

How to submit your Application

Our funding portal accepts all application materials, including progress reports and final reports. Please do not email us materials directly; instead, you will be redirected to our online submission portal in the link below. All continuing projects access the same link to submit progress reports.
